Prof. Joseph Shapira - is the former Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Hebrew University-Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel. Following his graduation from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem in 1974, he specialized for two years in Pediatric Dentistry, with special emphasis on dentistry for the handicapped at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, USA. Prof. Shapira is an expert in Dentistry for Special Needs and High Risk Medically Compromised Patients as well as in the Use of Sedative Agents regarding management of anxiety and behavior control. He has published over 100 articles in refereed International Journals, and has lectured on these subjects around the world.
