This lecture shows different biomimetic remineralization Systems used in preventive dentistry. While most toothpastes contain fluorides, biomimetic alternatives are needed. Biomimetic remineralization Systems are highly biocompatible and are not restricted up to a certain concentration.
This lecture is for the dentists and dental specialists involved in prophylaxis and caries prevention.
Lecture description:
Biomimetic remineralization Systems in preventive oral care are of upcoming interest for Researchers, but also for clinicians. While most of the biomimetic remineralization Systems are based on differnt types of Calcium Phosphates (e.g. amorphous calcium phosphates or particulate hydroxyapatite), Studies and modes of action of biomimetic remineralization Systems in preventive oral care will be presented in this lecture.
What the participant will learn from the training?:
The participant will learn the difference between biomimetic remineralization systems and fluoride Systems. The studies using biomimetic remineralization systems in the field of preventive oral care will be summarized and concluded for the participants. Advantages and Areas of application will be presented.
