The ASYSDENT conference is the biggest educational event for dental assistants and hygienists in Poland (attendance record in 2019 – circa 1200 people). The organiser's aim since the very beginning has been to raise awareness and increase the professionalism of middle-level personnel, and above all improve strictly professional skills (practical workshops) and soft competencies (communication with the patient, psychology in the office, teamwork). The added value has been provided by theoretical and practical lectures as well as participation in free-of-charge tests of the locomotor system condition. Each year there is a different theme for the conference, determined by response to the interest expressed by participants. ASYSDENT is also entertainment, music, humour (artistic performances) and even dance. The last edition ended with an attempt to set the Guinness Record in the category “The Biggest Dental Lesson”, promoting the ASYSDENT brand throughout the world.
